Terms and Conditions of Hire

1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply:
- "The Company": Refers to The Cherry Picker Man.
- "Customer": Refers to the individual or entity hiring the MEWP.
- "MEWP": Refers to the Land Rover Defender MEWP cherry picker being hired.
2. Booking and Payment
All bookings must be made through our online booking system. A deposit of [insert deposit amount] is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due prior to the hire period. Payments can be made via [insert payment methods].
3. Hire Period
The hire period will commence at the agreed time and date specified in the booking confirmation. The Customer agrees to return the MEWP at the end of the hire period, or as otherwise agreed in writing.
4. Condition of Equipment
The Customer agrees to inspect the MEWP upon receipt and report any damages or issues immediately. The Customer is responsible for the condition of the MEWP during the hire period and must return it in the same condition as received, normal wear and tear excepted.
5. Operator Requirements
The Company will provide a qualified operator for the MEWP. The Customer agrees to follow all instructions provided by the operator and ensure that all safety protocols are adhered to during the hire period.
6. Liability
The Company will not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss or damage arising from the use of the MEWP. The Customer agrees to indemnify The Company against any claims, losses, or damages arising from their use of the MEWP.
7. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing. The following cancellation fees apply:
- More than 14 days before the hire: Full refund of the deposit.
- 7 to 14 days before the hire: 50% of the deposit will be retained.
- Less than 7 days before the hire: No refund of the deposit.
8. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [insert jurisdiction]. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [insert jurisdiction].
9. Amendments
The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to the Customer prior to the hire period.
